Home Learning Service “Smile Zemi” for elementary school students in the U.S. Spring "Achievement Test" Aligned with State Tests Starting Monday, February 24
(includes State-Specific Questions)

February 3, 2025 - Torrance, CA - JustSystems America, Inc. will begin offering the spring "Achievement Test," aligned with state standardized tests, on Monday, February 24, as part of the Home Learning Service "SMILE ZEMI" for elementary school students. The test includes state-specific questions and complies with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).

[Results from the Previous Achievement Test]

The "Achievement Test" is a test conducted twice a year through Smile Zemi during winter and spring. It combines academic assessment with personalized courses. In the Winter Achievement Test held in November 2024, the average score of participating children improved by 59.1 point, proving its effectiveness.

Spring Achievement Test

The upcoming Spring Test aims to provide preparation for the end-of-year state standardized tests. By analyzing each state's State Test and sample questions, it offers CCSS-aligned questions as well as state-specific questions, such as financial literacy for Texas. Based on the test results, the program identifies areas where understanding is lacking and provides personalized review courses, enabling students to review the year's learning content and prepare for the state standardized tests.

Additionally, for Grade 1 and Grade 2 students who do not take the state standardized tests, the Spring Test serves as a comprehensive review of the year's learning content.

Children can relax and learn with our learning method which incorporates a mix of fun and game features, such as “Map,” where the child can advance to the next step after solving each problem. This learning method will help motivate children to learn.

In addition to the regular curriculum, We Offer Summer Program starts from mid-May to late-August, Winter Achievement Test starts from mid-November to mid-January, and Spring Achievement Test starts from mid-February to May. Tablet-Based Distance Learning with AI: "SMILE ZEMI"

"SMILE ZEMI" is a distance learning program that launched in Japan in 2012, designed for preschool, elementary, junior high, and high school students to study using a dedicated tablet. All courses offer high-quality learning through the concept of "learning by writing" similar to using paper and pencil, and "interactive learning" utilizing AI. Additionally, Smile Zemi provides learning materials aligned with school textbooks, allowing students to follow their school curriculum. In 2023, the Home Learning Service "SMILE ZEMI" for elementary school students was also launched in the United States.
