The following network environment is required to use Smile Zemi.

Internet Environment

Wi-Fi is a technology that allows computers and other devices to connect to the Internet wirelessly. The Smile Tablet must be connected to the Internet using a wireless LAN router or similar device, not a LAN cable.

Customers are responsible for the costs involved in providing an Internet connection.
[About Broadband Access]
You will need an environment with a sustained high-speed connection (effective speed of 5 Mbps or more), such as ADSL or optical fiber.
Service may not be stable in environments with an effective speed of less than 5 Mbps or with mobile broadband using the tethering function of a mobile router or smartphone.
[About LAN Routers]
Connection is possible with any Wi-Fi compliant wireless LAN router. This service may not be available at public wireless LAN spots.

Dedicated Tablets

A dedicated tablet, the Smile Tablet 4, is provided for your use. The tablet will be delivered to your home upon enrollment.
